Site Rules

Rules will be enforced. The Administration will make the necessary adjustments that is best for the site, and that may include immediate banning. If you see anyone who have been misguided, please pm the Head Admin.

FIGHTING
We do not encourage OOC (Out Of Character) fighting. There will not be any fighting on the Shoutbox, if I see that there are any sort of fighting, banning will be issued to both parties. 

SWEARING
This site has been rather relaxed when it comes to swearing.  Please try to keep it to a minimal on the site. We do want to make it comfortable for everyone. Just like fighting, I will begin to ban people if they continue excessive swearing, even if it is apart of their character.

SHOUTBOX
The Shoutbox is the real-time general discussion area for site members.  We reserve the right to ban people for any acts that we deem inappropriate (including bullying, lewdness, or sexually charged material). We will investigate all incidents of this and punishments will be based on each individual case.  Please be aware children can see the Shoutbox as well as new members, it is not attractive for the site to have inappropriate behavior in the Shoutbox

SPAMMING
There will be no spamming on this site either in the c-box, thread or via PM. If you are caught spamming you will be given one warning. If you continue to spam, you will be banned.

GRAPHICS
Graphics are allowed for your character, however if they are messy, contain inappropriate words or images, or stretch the site we will request you to take them down. Signature sizes need to be kept to 510 (width) x 180 (height). Those who have too large of graphics will be removed. Avatars can be no larger than 100 (width) x 100 (height). Images for/created by this site are not to be stolen/used on any other. If you did not create the image you are using, credit who did. You MUST re-host all images used on this site; i.e, those used in profiles, posts or media section. Absolutely NO hot linking!! Breaking this rule will result in images being deleted. Graphics FAQ

KILLING OTHER CHARACTERS
Your character cannot murder another character unless you have their full permission. You wouldn't want someone killing off your character, because it would mean the end of that character on the site. There is a member group for those who have been killed, once they are killed, they will be in the grave yard with a tribute.


THIRD PERSON RULE
Please, people, we have to role play in third person. So, that means... no 'I's', 'me', 'my', 'our'. Of course, you are allowed first person in any boards not strictly for game playing purposes, and where you're specifically allowed for first person (ie. Character Plot boards).

POSTING
Trying to understand who posts next in a thread including more than two people can be difficult. To make it easiest for everyone, for the person creating the thread to state in OOC the posting order for the thread. Eg. Percy 1st, Tyson 2nd, Nico 3rd.

OPEN & CLOSED THREADS
We all want to RP and we all want to feel included, however if you find that a thread is closed to a certain person then please refrain from posting in them. It is annoying and people don't want to have to offend you by asking you to delete your post, or at least PM that person to see if you can join it.

APPLICATIONS
All new applications must be completed within 3 days and created in the Pending Characters board. If it is not completed within the 7 days, it will be moved locked and your account will be marked Inactive.

QUOTATION MARKS, GRAMMAR & SPELLING
These are essential in letting the other player know when your character is talking. It is a must! Quotation marks are "These". It's difficult to want to RP with someone who don't bother to use proper grammar. If you don't know how to use these things, then please PM the Head Admin.

RELATIONSHIPS, MARRIAGE & CHILDREN
Everyone wants a good relationship, it causes drama and gives our characters something to do. However, in saying that I'll be more than happy to accept canon relationships and marriages.

TECHNOLOGY
This site takes place in the modern age but there will be no guns or modern weapons. The admins have a zero tolerance towards this. At each of the camps/halls people are armed with magical weapons similar to their cultural links (Magical Objects FAQ). If you are not sure, please PM the Head Admin.

SITE EVENTS AND ACTIVITY

During the site's life there will be moments where we will host Site Events. These events can include hero quests, attacks, rescues, etc. and will be built up through Event Threads. Those key characters involved in Event Threads must remain active during the progression of the Site Event. If your character is included in a Site Event and you go inactive in anyway the Head Admin reserves the right to create a Substitute Player for your character. This Substitute Player will continue playing your character for the duration of the Site Thread and/or Site Event. Should you return from the absence, you must accept all conditions that the Substitute has put your character in (they will of course, keep within the plots that you have created prior to the Site Event and/or Site Thread). You will be given 1 week to remain active, after which the Head Admin will make the decision of how to approach the issue. This is done to keep the site plots moving and the story progressing, it is entirely unethical for you to take on a major character, participate in a Site Event and/or Site Thread, and then go inactive. We, of course, understand that real life must take precedence. If you plan on being inactive for any reason, PM the Head Admin and we will cover your character's threads for you until you return.
